Configure Wi-Fi Profile
The Wi-Fi Configuration Profile setup for tvOS offers administrators the ability to remotely configure enrolled devices for wireless network connectivity. This feature streamlines the process of ensuring that devices seamlessly connect to designated Wi-Fi networks.
To remotely configure the enrolled device to the wireless network, follow these steps:
Navigate to SureMDM Web Console > Profiles > tvOS > Add > Wi-Fi Configuration > Configure
Enter a Profile Name and click Add.
In the Wi-Fi Configuration popup, provide the required details and click Add.
Settings | Description |
---|---|
SSID | Enter the SSID name of the desired network. |
Wi-Fi Type | Select the Wi-Fi Type, i.e., Personal or Enterprise. |
Security Type | Select the security type (None / WEP / WPA/WPA2 Personal / WPA2 Personal / Any (Personal) / WPA3(macOS 15.0 or later)) for the network type. |
Password | Enter the password for the access point. (This field will not be displayed if None is selected in Security Type dropdown) |
Auto Join | Select this option to automatically connect to the network when starting the device. |
Hidden Network | Select this option to connect to a network that is not open or broadcasting. |
The newly created Wi-fi configuration will be listed in the table section.
- Click Save.
The newly created profile will be listed in the profiles section.
Go back to the Home tab and select the tvOS device(s) or group(s).
Click Apply to launch Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt.
In the Apply Job/Profile To Device prompt, select the created profile and click Apply.
